ONGOING EVENTS - JANUARY

The area code for all numbers listed is 860.

Dawn-to-Dark/Bird Watching - Pomfret
The Wyndham Land Trust maintains its parcels to protect the fauna and flora thereon and to provide the general public with opportunities for the quiet enjoyment of nature. Attention is called to our Nature Sanctuary known as The Duck Marsh. American Kestrels and Red-tailed Hawks are usually present. Good views of Northern Harriers may often be had during migration. All of the ducks regularly appearing on Connecticut's fresh waters have been recorded here as have Canada Geese (of course!) and Snow Geese. Swallows abound, especially during spring and fall migration. The parcel may be entered either from Wrights Crossing Road or Holmes Road.
